Do any of you guys have any hard information on either WAKANHDISA or MARY WOSPIMANIWIN, parents of AMPETUMAZAWIN?
Thank you!

I have been trying to find information on them for a long time. I keep coming up empty handed. Mary had another child and the fathers last name was Armel. The baptism was posted here some time ago. I will see if I can find it.

anpetumazawin was the spouse of Clinton Philbrick. she was also the half sister of Margaret Oyatewastewin Chapman. They shared the same mother, different father. Margaret's father was Wicastaduta or Red Man.
What is puzzling me is that Hastings Dumarce inherited 1/10 of Wakanmaniwin's estate when she died. I h aven't been able to find anything that says he was related to her . Go figure.
I don't seem to have anything on Wakanhdesa.

Wakanhdisa is red lightening Anpetumaza is iron day and Wospi is "to pick" and Mani is "walking" so grandma says that her name is Pickswalkingwoman
if any one has any tough ones they are stuck on translation wise, my grandmother is excellent for translation. unless something is spelled incorrectly.

Tamara I need the translation of my maternal grandfather and am hoping you and your grandmother can help me. His name is Tawahasunkanaza. This is the spelling given to us from our tribal enrollment office. I would be very grateful if you can translate this.
